Really pretty and nice beach! For a small fee of $8, for out of state residents, you can enjoy the beach. There were nice restrooms, and there were even free beach chairs and umbrellas provided by LL bean! We will definitely be returning.
This was a beautiful park. Ample parking, clean restrooms and gorgeous view!! Such a beautiful sight to see, there is an island off of the coast and being able to see the trees on it made for such a beautiful picture. Plenty of coast to walk along. We went all the way to the larger rocks to the right on the beach and climbed up them, if you are able to do so please do it. You will not regret the power of the wind in your face and the stunning views from up there. It can be very slippery in some places so please use your best judgment! Recommend to anyone in the area looking for a place to picnic, walk or just meditate in the ocean air for awhile.
Nice beach. Ll Bean Beach trailer a plus! Crowded day we went but still room. Typical Maine water temps.....cold!
Our favorite beach. Walk over to the rocks and up over the hill to another rocky beach with dark red sand, great for exploring.
This state park is a beautiful, clean, and quiet location . Perfect for adults and children. The facilities are clean and ample. LLBean stocks a Beach Box filled with free to use for the day beach chairs umbrellas, toys, all you really need to bring is your towel!
Lots of seaweed and no waves.... But welcome to Maine. This beach is great if you have smaller children. Lots of sandy beach to play on. Cool rentals as well.
This small park was quaint and beautiful. The beach was a bit busy and had a cove like feel with calm waters... definitely not an "oceanside" type beach with large waves... which makes it a great place for small children. There is a sandy beach area as well as a rocky shore to explore.
The park charged $6/person, 16 and up. I'm not sure if younger ones are free or reduced price since we didnt have any in our vehicle.
There is some inland trails that wind around marshy areas. Would recommend mosquito and tick repellent for sure! I hadn't brought any and had several mosquitos bites.
I enjoyed the diversity of small ecosystems with the "cove" ocean water, the tide pools, the marshes, and the grasslands. It was a beautiful spot.
Dogs are allowed in the park, but NOT on the beaches from spring to the end of September, due to endangered wildlife that nests there.
So fun climbing on the rocks. Nice bath houses. Tons of parking.
